2. Data processed when visiting the website
When visiting the website, technical data may be processed: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser, device, operating system, referrer, server logs and security events. This is used for operation, security, error analysis, abuse prevention and legal defence where required.
3. Registration and account
For registration and account use Astro2Match processes e-mail address, username, password hash, confirmation status, age confirmation, login data, package status and settings. Passwords are not stored in plain text.
4. Profile, matching and astrology
Depending on use, profile texts, photos, questionnaire answers, preferences, location details, date of birth, birth time, birth place and calculated astro values may be processed to create profiles, match scores, horoscope modules and compatibility views.
5. Messages, moderation and safety
Messages, reports, support requests, filter hits and moderation decisions may be processed to provide communication, protect users, investigate abuse and enforce platform rules.
6. Payments and invoices
For paid packages Astro2Match processes customer data, package, booking date, runtime, invoice data, transaction status and payment provider references. Payment data may also be processed by external providers such as Stripe or PayPal according to their own notices.
7. Cookies, local storage and tracking
Astro2Match may use technically necessary cookies, session cookies, login cookies, local storage and remember-me functions. If optional analytics or marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Matomo, Facebook Pixel or external Google Fonts are used in the future, they will be described and, where legally required, activated only after consent via a consent banner.
8. Storage, deletion and rights
Data is stored only as long as needed for the platform, contracts, security, accounting or legal obligations. Users may request information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection where applicable.
9. External services and links
External services and links may have their own privacy practices. Astro2Match informs users where such services are integrated and keeps unnecessary data transfers as low as possible.
Abuse prevention and consent records (addition 08/2026)
Detection of multiple registrations
We may additionally use date of birth, time of birth and place of birth in order to detect multiple registrations and the repeated use of free demo services. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the service against abusive multiple use (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Consequences of a match: a match does not lead to automatic deletion or suspension of the account. The account remains fully usable; only the free demo is initially not enabled. Data subjects may request a review by a human being.
Right to object: under Art. 21 GDPR you have the right to object to this processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. Please contact support.
For data protection reasons we do not disclose which other account caused a match.
Consent records
When you give or withdraw consent we record this in order to be able to demonstrate it under Art. 7(1) GDPR. We store your user ID, the point in time, the version of the consent text and whether it was a grant or a withdrawal. No IP address is stored for this purpose.
